Capitalism, Past and Present
This course is for graduate and particularly doctoral students. It explores the history of our economic system and major political and scientific developments and shaped it. I developed this course and taught it for the first time in the Spring 2016 and again in the Spring 2018.
Applied Demand Analysis
This course is equivalent to an intermediate microeconomics course and is aimed at junior and seniors. I have taught this course for over ten years, the last time in the Fall 2018
This course is required of all graduate students. The aim of the class is to prepare students to enter the job market and familiarize them with potential careers. The course changes every time it is being taught. I last taught it in the Spring 2018.
Advanced Regional Economics
This is a doctoral-level course. I taught this course for some 20 years, the last time in 2015. My colleague, Dr. Joshua Hall, is currently teaching it. My emphasis in this course was on theory. I have updated it selectively, which makes the syllabus "a work in progress." You may find the many references to classic works helpful.
